Again, and again

I try not to desire what is lacking.

sun rays shine yellow polkadots

on green leaves. the wind blows a wish

to an aged daffodil. I face the sky,

inhaling summer. a monarch butterfly

dances and my heart is all color,

made of flesh and gold, able to hold

weight, to soften around scars,

to mend cracks like kintsugi pots

from broken parts.

how far I have walked today,

how brave I am

to try and begin again.

Hi everyone! I cannot believe that this blog has existed on the web for 10 years. Life has been busy but I actually have been continuing to write and am hoping to publish a poetry book soon. I will try to post more often and get back on it 🙂
