Immortal

etched in dark stone,

a small girl covering eyes

that grow old, unknown

A haiku about immortalizing youth with art! Honestly, the poem did not start out with this intention at all. It somehow just grew into its significance. Guess it’s true that poems can have a mind of their own and stretch in ways that we don’t expect!

Thoughts, ideas, critique in the comments are much appreciated 🙂
