The droplets on my window

pitter patter

rain drops scatter

onto white surface, smooth edges

that invite the relentless matter.

The window pane,

unhinged by the storm

holds up against tormenting weather–

battered and cold,

but resilient it remains.

A relatively shorter poem (that isn’t a haiku!). Would love to know what you thought about the length, subject matter, your interpretation of the poem, etc.

This month is going to be a busy one for me, but I’m going to try to get at least some kind of post out every week. Hopefully more, but we’ll see! (Oh dear, I just made an accidental rhyme. Pretty fitting for the site at least 😛 )
