The ocean was ice cold, shocking her body into a state of peace and numb.
She let herself sink– lower, lower– to the dark depths and began to push against the waters
A soft pink glow shone from below– how captivating— and lit her from within.

Wow this story took quite a turn– definitely not the one I had initially planned in my head. But am satisfied with the outcome. How did you interpret this story! There’s no “wrong” way to read it, but I’m really curious what your reactions/thoughts were 🙂
Also, I’m really trying to get back into doing these three liners more regularly! I’ve always enjoyed the diverse photos that Sonya has every week. Let me know if you guys like them and want more!
Nice take on the photo.. i wrote something similar but different take… ✌️

Thank you! I’ll be sure to check it out. I love how many directions just a single photo prompt can lead writers 🙂

I love it. I’m a huge fan of finding beauty in the mundane….making the ordinary into something extraordinary. Plus these particular lines really resonate with me right now. I’ve been feeling a bit “underwater” lately and just today I’ve begun to feel “lit from within”. So beautiful words and perfect timing.

A lovely description serene and almost surreal, like floating on the ocean. Excellent imagery with your words 🙂
