Welcome to Sonder Stories! Since this site was created nearly three years ago, I thought it was long overdue to have an updated bio. Below you can find my first About the Writer, kept as part of “archival history” for this blog. And because I’m too damn sentimental to delete it. Anyway, at this point in my life, I can’t imagine not writing. I will soon be a recent college grad, planning to pursue medical school. Even in the midst of cramming for organic chemistry, MCAT, running, I have more or less been maintaining this blog. For the first three years, it has been primarily filled with poetry and some short stories. But I hope to expand it to incorporate other passions of mine, and add more essay pieces. I love how writing can explore the human condition on deeper levels, how it tries to piece into words our emotions and experiences. In this way, it is very much related to my pull towards the medical field. Hopefully, as I become more immersed in medicine and other hobby pursuits, they will make their way into the upcoming pieces.[4/7/2019]

I’m a college student who is a creative writing fanatic on her free time. I was crazy about writing poems in high school and have literally a notebook and a half of handwritten poems in my room back at home. Hopefully as time goes on, I’ll be able to type them up and fill this blog with some of my past poems as well as new ones. After reading a book of Joseph Heller’s short stories, I was inspired to start writing short stories of my own and fell in love with it. A lot of my short stories are very short, written” free-handedly” in one day, usually within 2 hours. I hope to share some of my work with fellow writers and everyone who enjoys a good poem or story once in a while. Any feedback would be greatly welcomed, please feel free to leave comments or message me personally! If you’re also a writer and have a blog site, I would be more than happy to visit it.
Welcome 😄
Wow, a whole notebook and a half of poems, that is amazing!
Goodluck on your blog 😊

Hello Tianyi. It’s funny how any kind of writing can become almost an obsession. I imagine you’re very proud of your short stories and I think that sharing them on your blog will give you great feedback. If you’re interested, there are lots of writing challenges on WordPress you could join in, too. They are really good for getting feedback. Most of them are for flash fiction (very short stories).
Sorry I’ve taken so long to get back to you. I really appreciate the follow, but I’ve been busy writing two more books and haven’t been on my blog much for a few weeks. The shorter book (a collection of flash fiction pieces) is now almost ready for publication, so i have a little more time. I’ll look forward to reading more of your posts as son as I can. Best wishes, Millie. 🙂

Yes, writing is such an addictive activity XD. Sharing them on wordpress has definitely been a great experience so far. It’s also been motivating me to write more and to write better in order to create better content for readers 🙂 I cant wait to snag your book once it’s published!

I also love writing and getting my thoughts down on paper/blog. Though I’m not much of a poem guy, I’m open to reading them because more often than not I’m surprised as to what I get from them. Hope to see some of your poems, short stories and other ramblings in future posts!
